Texas State Fitness Trails

Texas State wants you to be healthy! The provision of these trails and accompanying materials should assist you to start or maintain a regular program of activity. It is the goal of this program to help anyone who has questions about how and where to exercise.  Physical activity is for everyone and the 2008 Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans can provide you with strategies to become healthier and have a more enjoyable life.


The attached maps show several trails of different lengths and difficulty while use existing campus facilities such as sidewalks and roads to allow you to get out and exercise while enjoying some of the special places on our beautiful campus. You can walk through the heart of campus, around Aquarena Springs and the wonderful San Marcos River, or challenge yourself by walking the many hills that are a part of our campus. Facilities are available in the Student Recreation Center and Jowers for lockers and showers if you need them. Restrooms and drinking fountains are also located on or nearby many of the trails.


Feel free to print maps or download them to an appropriate device for future use. We would appreciate any suggestions or comments you have to make the program more usable to you and others you may know.
