Texas State Aquatics and Safety is dedicated to providing the University community with the opportunity to participate in aquatic activities that promote healthy lifestyles. We also strive to educate and prepare our community to save lives through our safety education and training. We help people lead a safer and healthier life through first aid training, CPR training, lifeguard training, open swim hours and swim lessons.

Here at Texas State Campus Recreation's Aquatics and Safety program, we belive that getting trained makes you a hero. This is why we strive to offer the best CPR, AED, First Aid and Lifeguard Training courses. Even our swim lessons involve learning about how to save others who are in danger in the water, without putting yourself in harms way. We even teach you ways to help yourself if you are ever alone and in danger.

Aquatics and Safety runs two aquatic facilities. The first faciltiy is the Aqua Sports Center, which houses open swim hours, club practices, and Health Recreation and Physical Recreation classes.
The second facility is the natatorium at the Student Rec Center! This facility features two pools and hosts even more open swim hours, Hydrofit classes, and all of the programs listed below.
