Golf Course

 

The Texas State Golf Course, located on Post Road just off Aquarena Springs Drive is a 9 hole golf course open to Texas State students, faculty, staff, and the community.

According to the Dallas Morning News' annual Lone Star Legacy Best of Texas Golf, the Texas State Golf Course is one of the top 25 best 9 hole golf courses in Texas. If you are looking for some golf excitement, be sure to bring all of your clubs.

Even though the course is only 2,850 yards it has at least one place for every shot in the bag. Come on out and try the course; it's open from dawn to dusk year round.

The Golf Simulator  is now open in the recreation center.  It is located in the old weight room on the first floor.  This brand new entertainment includes 38 PGA courses to choose from and play at.  Along with recreational play, tournaments and leagues will also be set up and organized throughout the year.  The simulator can be enjoyed by all Texas State students and faculty for just a small price.  Check out the link for a sneak peak!  Come by and bring your friends!

Sticks for Kids "The future of the game of golf in the United States depends on those young boys and girls interested in learning and respecting the game. The responsibility to secure the future of golf lies with those of us benefiting from golf today The Golf Course Builders Association of America established the Sticks for Kids Foundation to provide the tools and opportunities necessary to allow as many junior golfers as possible to enjoy the game." Texas State University Golf Course now offers this service FREE OF CHARGE (for use at TxSt Golf Course only) with deposit or other collateral. Ages 7-14.
