Outdoor Recreation is comprised of six main program areas: The Adventure Trip Program, the GOAL-Challenge Course Program-, our newly constructed Rockwall Climbing Center, Equipment Rental, Sewell Park, and University Camp.
This program is dedicated to provide outdoor education, recreation, and adventure positive experiences to the Texas State community.
The Outdoor Center, located in Sewell Park along the banks of the San Marcos River, is the headquarters for the Outdoor Recreation Program. It also provides a service for students to access information about regional and national outdoor resources and to provide trip planning and preparation guidance.
