THE SPORT CLUBS PROGRAM encourages clubs to become involved in Community Service projects. Involvement in these unique opportunities can provide an excellent learning experience for a club and its members. Involvement in Community Service projects helps to create a positive image of your club and the Sport Clubs Program. Registration forms for community service projects that a club is organizing or involved in are available at the Sport Clubs Office and online. This form must be filled out completely in order to receive points on Bobcat Scoreboard.
You can now submit the Community Service Request (pre-event) and the Community Service Report (post-event) online.

CHAMPS DAY This is my absolute favorite! This day is held at the end of every six weeks for students who did not receive an office referrel during that time period. This day consists of a play day: it's a half day where the students have their choice of a number of different activities, including basketball, volleyball, flagfootball, or any other special event put on by that specific school. Ice cream or a consession stand is also available to them as well. The locations are Dorris Miller Middle School, located at 301 Foxtail Run, phone # 512-393-6660 and Owen Goodnight Junior High School, located at 1301 Highway 123, phone # 512-393-6550. All volunteers are subject to a background check, which is to be done a week in advance; those forms can be picked up at their respective locations. For Dorris Middle School, their next CHAMPS Day is November 13. These are held once a month. Check back soon for the date for Owen Goodnight Junior High School or you can email me at jr1411@txstate.edu.
