Non-Student Memberships

Membership to Texas State Campus Recreation facilities is restricted to the University community. If you are unsure of your classification status and would like to become a member, contact our office at (512) 716-4201 or visit the Wellness Center front desk. Memberships can be purchased at the front desk. Faculty/Staff are eligible for Payroll Deduction during certain times of the year.

WellCats: current Faculty & Staff members are eligible for a $25 subsidy on semester memberships. Subsidy will be applied to the first 100 registered members per semester. WellCats information may be found here.


  • Faculty/Staff → Current benefit eligible employees of Texas State (50% FTE or greater) or retired employees that have a current University ID. Payroll deduction is available at certain times of the year; all Faculty/Staff will be emailed when it is available.
  • Texas State graduate → Degree holder from Texas State. Confirmation or proof of graduation.
  • Spouse/Other → Spouse or domestic partner of a student, faculty, staff or Texas State graduate or a child 18 years of age or older residing in the same household. Only one individual may be sponsored in this category.
  • Continuing student → Individual with proof of previous semester enrollment and is planning to enroll in the following semester.

Membership Terms

Memberships may be purchased two different ways, by the semester or annually. Semester memberships cover only one academic semester: Fall, Spring or Summer. Each semester a student is enrolled in at least one credit hour, the $94 recreation fee is assessed automatically. Summer fees vary depending on enrollment status. 

All Membership fees are non-refundable nor transferable.
