Joe is originally from East Moline, Illinois. After graduating high school he joined the U.S. Army as a Combat Engineer. Once he got out of the Army, Joe received his Bachelors Degree from Illinois State University in Recreation Management. After graduating, Joe moved to Minnesota with his wife, Lindsay, where he worked in the parks systems for 4 years. After Minnesota, they moved to Kentucky where he worked in the parks systems for 3 years. In 2016 he moved to Texas and got a job with Texas State University Campus Recreation Fields. He took over as the Caretaker of University Camp and Outdoor Coordinator of Outdoor Recreation in early 2018. (Known as the great betrayal of Dustin Olivo). Joe’s hobbies include: spending time with his wife and two dogs Pepper and Tuco, hiking, swimming in the rivers, relaxing by a bonfire, and searching for buried treasure.
