Dustin Olivo is a true Texas loyal. He was born and raised in San Marcos, TX where he attended San Marcos High. Dustin is passionate about golf and began working at Texas Statue University in April of 2014 to maintain the golf course. Having a beautiful city on the river comes at a cost at times, and the golf course was closed after major flooding of the Blanco river caused significant damage in 2015. Dustin’s role adjusted to focus on the sports fields for Campus Recreation after that. Dustin really loves working for campus recreation because of the great people he gets to work with, he says, “my work family just makes it easy to get up in the morning and come to work.”
When Dustin isn’t on the Texas State Campus, he enjoys spending time with his family he loves so much, wife of over 12 years, Melinda, 2 sons, Jared and Isaiah, and one precious little girl named Isabella. He also finds time to fish and golf when he can, as well as camp to enjoy as much of the great outdoors as he can.
