University Camp

COVID-19 Policy Changes:

Expand or Collapse all.
    • Reservations are limited to one (1) site per day (Day-Use, Campsite, or Lodge).

    • Lodges have been reduced to 50% capacity: Beretta Lodge (10), and Jeffersonian (7).

    • Campsites and Day-Use sites are limited to two cars. Lodges are limited to four cars. Vehicles over this limit cannot enter the property. All groups upon arrival must check-in with University Camp staff to receive parking passes.

    • Cloth face coverings are required indoors and outdoors on Texas State campuses unless you are exceeding 6-foot social distancing expectations in common-use areas. 
    • Physical distancing must be maintained in common-use spaces if not wearing a cloth face covering. This includes members of your own group. Individuals in common-use spaces of University Camp must maintain physical distancing from others if not wearing a cloth face covering.
      • Common-use spaces include: Trails, parking lots, Day-Use Area, or any other areas not specifically reserved

    University Camp staff will warn those violating the above policies once. Patrons (and all others in their group) will be asked to leave University Camp if violations persist. These policies are in place for the safety of our patrons, and those that work to maintain University Camp.

General Information:

A 126-acre hideaway on the scenic Blanco River hosting two lodges, eight campsites, and four day-use sites. Offering 3.5 miles of hiking and biking trails throughout the property, which offer sweeping views of the Blanco river and the Wimberly river valley. The Blanco River is suitable year-round for swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, and fishing in the pools above and below the falls. University Camp is an ideal location for special events and family gatherings.

Beretta Lodge

  • Site and vehicle capacities may be in effect, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Campsites: 8 people maximum

    • 2 vehicles per site

    Day Use: 6 people maximum

    • 2 vehicles per site

    Jeffersonian Lodge: 14 people maximum (7 people maximum during COVID-19 pandemic)

    • Maximum of 6 vehicles or that which can fit in the designated parking area (4 vehicles maximum during COVID-19 pandemic)

    Beretta Lodge: 20 people maximum (10 people maximum during COVID-19 pandemic)

    • Maximum of 12 vehicles or that which can fit in the designated parking area (4 vehicles maximum during COVID-19 pandemic)

    Multiple sites must be reserved if group size exceeds the maximum of a single site (groups are limited to one site per reservation during COVID-19 pandemic)

For easier viewing, use the "Month View" after clicking on a site calendar. Dates that show "Busy" are unavailable.

- Day Use Sites can show four (4) "Busy" spots per day. If there are less than four (4), space is available.

- Areas in the Day Use area are first-come first-served upon arrival, and have no relation to the Site Number on the reservation calendar.

- Dates that show "Busy" for Campsites and Lodges ending at 2:00PM, are available for reservations starting at 3:00PM.

- University Camp is closed on Mondays, except for holiday weekends outlined below.

Daily Rental Rates

Peak Season: Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend

Spring Break (weekend before and after TXST's Spring Break): Charged at the Peak Season rate

Lodge reservations that begin on a Friday, or include Saturday or Sunday, must reserve a 2-night minimum (Friday 3pm - Sunday 2pm).

Single-night Lodge reservations may be requested no earlier than the Monday before the desired weekend

  • University Camp is open on Mondays for holiday weekends. Tuesdays before a holiday through the following weekend is charged at the Peak Holiday Season rate.

    • Thanksgiving Weekend (November 27-29, 2020)
    • MLK Jr. Weekend (January 16-18, 2021)
    • President's Day Weekend (February 13-15, 2021)
    • Easter Weekend (April 2-4, 2021)
    • Memorial Day Weekend (May 28-31, 2021)
    • July 4th Weekend (July 2-4, 2021)
